'Sons of Anarchy': Why This Gang Should Be Out of Business

"Sons of Anarchy" is one of the best shows currently on television and we love all the boys (and Gemma) that make up the world of SAMCRO, but is it just us or are they a terrible excuse for a gang? Here are some reasons why the SOA may be due for a revoked charter, or, at the very least, a motorcycle gang corporate re-org:

They've Got a Hippie for a Vice President
Jax doesn't want to deal weapons and he doesn't want to retaliate against rival gangs who blind their members -- so what does he want SOA to be? Honestly just mechanics and bike enthusiasts?

They Don't Look Before They Shoot
It was ridiculous to believe that Opie had turned on SAMCRO and decided to testify for the Feds, thereby justifying his murder, to begin with. But not even glancing in the car first to make sure the person you're shooting in the head isn't an innocent mother of two? That's just downright dumb.

They Can't Even Protect Porn Stars from Tom Arnold
Admittedly, Tom Arnold does seem to get a little crazy where porn stars are concerned, but if SAMCRO can't even strike fear into the heart of a small-time, middle-aged Joe Francis, what kind of criminals are they?

They Can't Protect Their Matriarch from Henry Rollins
The League is new in town, so maybe it's understandable that they're not afraid of either the Sons, but it says something about the ferocity of your motorcycle gang if any yahoo working for Adam Arkin thinks they can just up and brutally assault Gemma whenever they want.

They Can't Protect Themselves from the Wrath of an Angry Ex-Boyfriend
Tara's ex-boyfriend, ATF Agent Kohn, was a psychopath with a restraining order against him and no official business being in Charming whatsoever, but he still managed to wreak all sorts of havoc on the club before Jax ended up shooting him.

Bobby's Elvis Impersonation Is a Liability
When your criminal organization is constantly under scrutiny by the authorities, maybe you shouldn't go around beating up Elvis impersonators who tried to steal your slot at the local talent night. It's an unnecessary risk.

They Offer a Terrible Health Care Plan
It's either be transferred from hospital to hospital whilst bleeding everywhere until someone takes your coverage and/or calls the cops on you, or lie around on a bar table bleeding everywhere until someone thinks to call Tara, who then treats you with no or equipment. That's just no way to treat loyal employees.
