Ali makes a brave decision in Week 6.

This week on "The Bachelor," Jake traveled across the country to meet the families of the remaining four bachelorettes. With stops in New York, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Florida, he certainly racked up the frequent flyer miles. And while some parents put Jake on the spot as they tried to figure out the pilot's intentions, that wasn't the toughest part of Jake's week.
Upon returning to San Francisco, Ali delivered the biggest surprise since Rozlyn. So what happened this week? The Hulu team recaps the drama below.
At Home with Gia
First stop on Jake's cross-country tour: New York City, where he and Gia embarked on a smooch-filled boat ride around the Statue of Liberty. Later in the day, it was time to meet the parents, and both Jake and Gia were nervous — with good reason, because Gia's family doesn't mess around. Her mom immediately set out to "read" Jake to make sure his intentions were pure, and her stepbrother, Erick, showed his protective side. And while our handsome Bachelor won over Mom, Erick was a little more protective of his sis.
At Home with Tenley
Turns out Jake had some fans up in Oregon: While the pilot was vying for Jillian's heart on "The Bachelorette," Tenley's dad was watching and, it turns out, hoping his daughter would meet someone like him. After all, his daughter's first marriage left the whole family heartbroken. Later in the day, Jake had a frank discussion with Tenley's mom. No surprise here, our clean-cut Bachelor passed with flying colors.
At Home with Vienna
"Daddy's little girl" Vienna had a tearful reunion when she took Jake to meet her family in Florida. And while Vienna made sure her father knew how much she really liked Jake, Dad didn't waste any time making Jake sweat.
Ali's Surprise
With everyone back in San Francisco, Jake received a surprise afternoon visit from a conflicted Ali. The up-and-coming advertising account executive had to make a decision — should she stay or should she go? She may have turned to Jake for guidance, but we think it's safe to say Jake didn't offer the firm answer she was looking for.
Ali's Decision
Ali promised to make her decision in time for the rose ceremony, and she didn't disappoint. In an intimate moment, Ali talked through her conflicted decision with Jake. Even though she was falling in love with Jake, she was going to lose her job if she stuck around. But if she stayed, she risked losing both her job and Jake at the end of the show — and she couldn't live with that.
The Goodbye
In the real world, Ali's decision would have been easy, and the couple may have even survived. But this is "The Bachelor" and, while Ali is left to heal on her own, Jake has three other women to help take his mind off things. But based on a little preview of next week's episode, this may not be the last we hear of Ali.
Talk About It: Of the three women left, which one do you think will receive Jake's proposal?
