The National Dog Show Presented by Purina

Thursday at 12pm ET on NBC
Poodles, Pekingese, and Pugs, oh my! Dog lovers won't want to miss the annual Thanksgiving Day dog show run by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia. Hosted by the affable John O'Hurley (of "Seinfeld" and "Dancing With the Stars" fame) and dog expert David Frei, the show presents 2,000 of the top show dogs from across the country. Three breeds will make their debut in the competition this: the Irish red and white setter, the Norwegian buhund, and the Pyrenean shepherd. How will these new pooches fare against the more than 150 different breeds and varieties as they compete for Best of Breed, First in Group, and the top-dog title of Best in Show? Another new addition to this year's show is a focus on dog rescue groups, which will hopefully prompt some viewers to not just watch these cuties on TV, but to go out and adopt one from a local shelter.
