Batman

Pow!!! Bang!!! Adam West played the enigmatic and wealthy Bruce Wayne and also his spandex-clad alter-ego Batman in this camp classic. Burt Ward played orphaned Dick Grayson, who put on tights to become Robin, the Boy Wonder. But the true superhero of the bunch was the Batmobile. The Batmobile was a modified '55 Lincoln Futura that was custom built by famed car builder George Barris. Along with Batman and Robin, the Batmobile fought crime, particularly a string of supervillains played by the likes of Burgess Meredith (The Penguin), Cesar Romero (The Joker), Vincent Price (Egghead), Julie Newmar (Catwoman), LeeAnn Meriwether (Catwoman), Eartha Kitt (Catwoman) and George Sanders (Mr. Freeze). Knight Rider

The true star of "Knight Rider" is KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand): a car that comes standard with some pretty amazing features. The car also boasts an almost bullet-proof shell, surveillance scanners, x-ray vision capabilities, medical analyzers and various attached gadgets that fire rockets or release tear gas. KITT is also able to go from zero to sixty in 0.2 seconds with a top speed of 300mph. Funny, useful and fast... what more can one ask for in a car? more

The indestructible General Lee has had its fair share of adventures and run-ins with the law. Viewers are known to cheer as much for the General as they do for the boys behind the wheel. Miami Vice

"I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord!" Yeah, I'd feel the cool night air too if I was cruising through the streets of Miami in a black Ferrari Daytona Spyder. This is the memorable image that made "Miami Vice" such a popular show and turned Don Johnson into one cool cat. Later in the series, Johnson's character drives a white Ferrari Testarossa. No matter the color or style, a Ferrari is a Ferrari... and that means it's sex appeal on wheels. "Miami Vice's" Ferraris are yet another example of how television cops always seem to have the sweetest rides. more

Taxi

This classic sitcom followed a group of New York cabbies working for the Sunshine Cab Company. A group of young actors (many of whom went on to become household names) portrayed the zany cast of characters who were all working to achieve success in something other than cab-driving. Tony Danza played struggling boxer Tony; Marilu Henner was a divorced single mother; Chirstopher Lloyd played the washed-up hippie-turned reverend Jim; Andy Kaufman gained fame as Latka, the immigrant mechanic; and, of course Danny DeVito famously portrayed the moral-less dispatcher Louie. Through it all the taxi drivers kept America laughing with their madcap antics in and out of the garage and the show went on to win 18 Emmy awards. more

Speed Racer: The Next Generation

"Speed Racer" is a show featuring a young racer named Speed and his ultimate driving machine, the Mach 5. Speed is an eighteen year old car driver, and is one of the youngest in the international racing circuit. The Mach 5 was unofficially an FIA Group 6 sports-racer built and maintained by master mechanic Pops, Speed's father. It was almost as if Speed's car companion, the Mach 5, had magical powers that allowed it to jump over obstacles and opponents, through fire and floods, and negate whatever else might try to slow it down. Originally aired in Japan as "Mahha Go Go Go" (translation: Mach Five Go Go -- "go" also means five), "Speed Racer" combines racing with international intrigue. Joining Speed is an unforgettable cast of characters, including Mom and Pops Racer, girlfriend Trixie, little brother Spritle and his pet monkey Chim Chim, mechanic Sparky, and the mysterious Racer X. more

Parking Wars

If you've ever received a parking ticket (and haven't we all?) then you don't want to miss this fascinating new series. We love to hate those civil servants who tuck tickets under our windshield wipers and clamp orange boots to our car wheels, but we never stop to think about their side of the story. In "Parking Wars," viewers get a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of the men and women who work for the Philadelphia Parking Authority. This real-life series is sure to have you laughing along as the nightmare of parking enforcement is observed from the other side of the driver's seat. more

Starsky and Hutch

For policemen David Starsky and Kenneth 'Hutch' Hutchinson, saving Bay City would not have been so successful without the aid of their red two-door Ford Torino. Nicknamed "the Striped Tomato" for the large white vector stripe across it, the Torino not only came in handy when Starsky and Hutch needed to get to a crime scene, but was also a great chick-magnet. Score! When the duo needed to go incognito, they used Hutch's raggedy '73 Ford Galaxie 500... but the real star was always the Striped Tomato. more
