    Disco music is the theme this week, as the 11 remaining contestants continue their quest to dance off their excess weight. Alicia has a self-described "meltdown" while preparing for her routine and ends up in the bottom two. Warren is eliminated.

  • Strippin' Off the Pounds

    The 10 remaining contestants learn to dance on a stripper pole from an instructor at Crunch Gym in preparation for this week's routines. After the sexy, edgy routines requiring use of a pole in the center of the dance floor and the weigh-ins, Trice and Karla were left in the bottom two. A low weight loss score and a middling dance average resulted in Karla going home.

    Each contestant performs two dance routines: one hip-hop and one tango. Ruben earns the first perfect score of the season, hitting three 10’s with his tango. Mara, Shayla and Alicia are the three contestants in jeopardy, but Shayla’s dance score is strong enough to keep her safe. Mara’s low weight loss dooms her chances and she is sent home.

  • We Are Family

    The contestants dance pop song routines from the 1980’s and the foxtrot. At the loft, the contestants are reunited with their families. The three contestants in jeopardy are Shayla, Pinky and Ruben. Ruben receives a perfect dance score (three 10’s) and thus has the high score for the week. In a surprise twist, no contestants are eliminated and all four will compete in the semifinal round next week.

  • Waltzing to the Finish Line

    It’s the semifinals and the four remaining contestants receive makeovers for their “Life & Style” magazine photo shoot before preparing two technically-demanding routines: the cha-cha and the Viennese waltz. Alicia is eliminated and Pinky, Shayla and Ruben move on to the finale, with Ruben netting the high score.

  • The Final Weigh In

    Episode 10 Originally aired:  August 31, 2009

    Pinky, Shayla and Ruben reconnect with the eliminated contestants. Alicia wins $5,000 for having the greatest percentage of weight loss. Pinky, Shayla and Ruben have to do a freestyle performance and then a dance style chosen by the judges. Ruben bests Shayla and Pinky with his substantial weight loss and wins the $100,000 prize.
