"Lost" Stars Found

You may have gotten a bit choked up when Charlie sacrificed himself in Season 3 of "Lost" to save his friends, but don't get too bummed out. Dominic Monaghan is alive and well on the mysterious new drama "FlashForward" as a scientist named Simon -- a character he described to E! as "the opposite of Charlie. ... This guy's not scared, he's capable, he's unflappable, he's smart, he's scary, he's everything Charlie wasn't." When we last saw Sonya Walger as Penny on "Lost," Ben had just tried to kill her, and she was saved by her husband, Desmond. Elizabeth Mitchell's Juliet is another character you can count on seeing again on "Lost," even if she does have a fondness for slamming rocks against hydrogen bombs. After all, that love triangle ... wait, love square ... involving her, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer still needs resolution. In the meantime, you can catch her on the reboot of the '80s alien-invasion series "V," where she plays FBI agent Erica Evans. Who didn't wince when Jack prepared to amputate poor, injured Boone's leg with a sliding cargo door? Yuck. He didn't, though, at Boone's insistence, and the island had its first post-crash casualty. We've seen Ian Somerhalder since then, in flashbacks, in a hallucination, and as a corpse. He's now playing a corpse again -- albeit a reanimated one -- as the bad-boy bloodsucker Damon Salvatore on "The Vampire Diaries." (Slightly spoileriffic: Entertainment Weekly reports that Ian flew to Hawaii last week to shoot scenes for Season 6 of "Lost." Now Tania Raymonde solves other people's deaths as funky lab tech Frankie on "Cold Case." Katey Sagal had a small but memorable role on "Lost" as Helen, the woman who gave flashback John Locke -- a miserable loser at the time -- a shot at true happiness. He blew it, though, and by the time he got off the island, she was dead. Sagal has been plenty busy since appearing on the sci-fi series, and now she's a regular on FX's biker drama "Sons of Anarchy," where she plays manipulative tough gal Gemma Teller Morrow. Mysterious and sometimes menacing, Lance Reddick's Matthew Abaddon character on "Lost" played a role in getting Locke on the island, and later was gunned down while acting as Locke's chauffeur. Luckily, "Lost" co-creator J.J. Abrams was able to shuffle the actor to another of his projects, "Fringe," where he plays Phillip Broyles, a Department of Homeland Security agent heading up the special fringe-science division.
