The one real "breakout" new Fall series is "The Mentalist" starring Simon Baker, and it is on fire in its Tuesday night timeslot following "NCIS." "The Mentalist" garnered over 15 million viewers with its first episode and has held strong since. Despite rather lackluster ratings so far this season, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" received a full season order from FOX. No show had more buzz going into the Fall season than "90210," the remake of the beloved '90s teen drama "Beverly Hills 90210." The show hasn't disappointed, debuting to The CW's biggest premiere ratings ever for a scripted series. ABC has had some misfires on Wednesday night as its sophomore lineup of "Pushing Daisies," "Private Practice," and "Dirty Sexy Money" are down in viewers significantly compared to last year. From "Lost" and "Alias" creator J.J. Abrams, "Fringe" is a new FOX drama based on an unlikely team of three people that investigate events that take place outside the realm of science (e.g., telekinesis, cloning, precognition, etc.). After an OK debut, "Fringe" picked up steam in Week 2 when it aired after a brand-new episode of FOX hit "House." Another remake of a classic TV series, "Knight Rider" debuted this Fall on NBC with much fanfare after the successful TV movie aired last season reinvigorated the franchise. "Privileged" follows a young tutor who is brought in to look after two filthy rich teenagers in the hopes of getting them into Duke University.
