Mr. Brown can do it. Can you?

No one does it quite like Alton. He makes cooking fun, easy, and educational as it should be. Thanks Alton for ever increasing my love of cooking. I love learning about the different kinds of food; such as, the different oils, salts, and different cuts of meat from different animals. I like knowing where my food comes from and what goes into its growth process.

I think it is a very intertaining show. Very fun to watch because he does other things to explain how to make a recipe than just telling you what to put in it.

TV Science that is Actual Fun
December 2, 2007
When you go right into the show, you always get a topic which he'll make (usually has a plot, like Marsha needing cookies for a bake sale in the episode: Cookies). Then he'll discuss some science about the subject (also in: Cookies, he discusses [with the cookie monster's brother] why we need shortening instead of butter to make a fluffy cookie) in a usual funny way. Then he'll start making the topic (like a crispy cookie), if it's a subject like crab, he'll give some types and make some using a type of crab (or when Marsha instead wants a fluffy cookie instead of flat, he goes to make it fluffy.) He makes an subject fun and scientific without your mind going huh? .
He always says at the end we hope we've taught you a little more about the _________, we hope for you to see each other on another Good Eats . Plus his philosophy about uni-taskers is the only unitasker in my kitchen is the fire extinguisher and never buy stuff that you can make at home .
He (fictionally) has a nephew (Marsha's son) that needs something for a project, named Elton (like Alton). It's that plot or his mom Marsha comes in and discuss a parent-child cooking episode or a child cooking with adult supervision.
Ultimately, it is a show that will subliminally learn while having fun.
