Sam and Dean are double-crossed by Bela (Lauren Cohan), who has them arrested, but when Agent Henriksen (C. Malik Whitfield) arrives at the jail to take them, he discovers they ve been surrounded by demons intent on killing everyone.

Dean gets a mysterious phone call that appears to be from his dad (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), explaining how to get out of the deal, and he decides to follow the advice despite the fact that Sam doesn t believe it was really John on the line.

In the third-season ender, Sam summons Ruby (Katie Cassidy) for help as time begins running out for Dean. The brothers, against Ruby s advice, steal her knife and, with Bobby s help, prepare to face off against Lillith and her infernal minions.

The spirits of Meg and Agent Henricksen appear and accuse Sam and Dean of failing them, as the brothers attempt to help a man haunted by the angry ghosts of children he was unable to save.

Sam and Dean visit Bobby s hometown, where the dead are returning to life and reuniting with their families. But soon the zombies turn evil, and Bobby is faced with having to kill his undead wife.

Sam and Dean encounter a man with a mysterious infection that transforms him into a flesh-eating monster. Sam thinks the man can be changed through reason to curb his newfound instincts, but Dean believes the most-humane thing to do is to kill him.

Several men die from fright after being infected with a mysterious illness that causes acute anxiety, which leads to total terror. Sam and Dean investigate, and Dean becomes infected. Sam desperately searches for a cure before Dean dies.

A wishing well is discovered to be the real thing when a girl s teddy bear comes to life, someone wins the lottery and a local geek gets a beautiful girlfriend. But Sam and Dean realize disaster waits in the wings.
